Emergency crews responded to a vehicle accident involving a school van that overturned Friday afternoon in a residential area of Elkins Park, according to reports.
The incident occurred around 2:34 p.m. in the 600 block of Chelten Hills Drive, according to initial reports.
The van reportedly had at least one child inside at the time of the crash. Both the child and the driver were able to exit the vehicle on their own before emergency personnel arrived at the scene, according to reports.
The extent of any injuries remains unknown at this time.
Officials have not yet identified which school the van was affiliated with, and no additional details about the cause of the crash have been released.
Emergency crews from La Mott Fire Company, Cheltenham Fire Company, Wyndmoor Hose Company, Horsham Fire Company Ambulance, and Second Alarmers Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
