Elkins Park man arrested after hit-and-run accident in Abington, police say

An Elkins Park man is facing multiple charges after he fled the scene of a rear-end crash in Abington Township while under the influence of alcohol and marijuana, according to police.
Adrian Kebuz, 23, of the 300 block of Linden Drive, was charged following a November 2025 incident at the intersection of Moredon and Warner roads, according to court documents.
Police were dispatched to the crash scene at approximately 4:59 p.m. after receiving reports that a vehicle had been struck from behind and that the driver responsible left the area before officers arrived.
Witnesses provided a description of the fleeing vehicle along with a partial Pennsylvania license plate. Moments later, an officer spotted a light-colored coupe with front-end damage traveling on Moredon Road.
When officers stopped the vehicle, they said they detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from inside. Police reported that Kebuz had glassy eyes, appeared lethargic and was unsteady on his feet when he exited the vehicle.
An open, half-empty 12-ounce bottle of Tröegs Independent Brewing Mad Elf beer was allegedly found on the rear floorboard behind the passenger seat.
Kebuz was taken into custody at 5:01 p.m. and transported to Holy Redeemer Hospital for chemical testing. According to toxicology results from NMS Labs, his blood alcohol concentration measured 0.186 percent, more than twice Pennsylvania’s legal limit of 0.08 percent. The test also detected Delta-9 THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.
Police determined Kebuz was incapable of safely operating a motor vehicle and filed charges related to driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 4, 2026, at 9:45 a.m. before Judge John D. Kessler.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
