A Glenside man is facing multiple sexual offense charges following allegations involving two juvenile victims in Abington Township, according to court records.

Richard Rivers Jr., 25, of the 3000 block of Walnut Avenue, is facing felony charges of rape, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors, and endangering welfare of children, stemming from the incident.

Authorities allege that between May 2024 and April 2026,  Rivers Jr. committed a series of sexual offenses involving two minors at a Glenside residence. Investigators said one victim was 15 years old at the time the alleged incidents began, while the second victim was 13.

Court documents state that both victims reported being provided alcohol and substances before some of the alleged incidents. One victim told investigators she became heavily intoxicated prior to an alleged sexual assault that occurred in the summer of 2024.

The complaint further alleges that both victims experienced repeated incidents of inappropriate sexual contact over an extended period, including incidents that occurred while they were asleep or waking up.

Rivers Jr. was unable to post bail, which was set at $250,000.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Juanita A. Price.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
