Emergency crews from the Fort Washington Fire Company were called out to the Upper Dublin Library after a person became stuck in an elevator during a reported power outage.
According to initial reports, the outage caused the elevator to malfunction at 5:01 p.m., leaving at least one individual trapped inside. Fire units were dispatched to 520 Virginia Drive to assist in the situation and are working to safely resolve the entrapment.
It is not yet clear how long the individual has been inside the elevator, and no information has been released regarding possible injuries.
Officials have not provided additional details on the cause of the power outage or the circumstances leading up to the incident.
