The Abington Township Board of Commissioners has been already at work preparing the proposed budget for the 2025 Fiscal Year. Its initial presentation was held on Oct. 1 to show the public its concepts. The Commissioners are preparing once again to host a Special Meeting to consider its adoption on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.

A full presentation and introduction to the preliminary proposed budget was made on Sept. 12, 2024, and is available online here.

According to the Commissioners, this proposed budget is continuing a third-year trend of sorts.

“For the third consecutive year, the budget does not propose a property, business, nor earned income tax increase or an increase in refuse or sewer fees,” said a release on the matter.

Residents can review the online budget here.

There are three ways for the public to participate in the meeting budget meeting on Nov. 7:

  • in-person
  • online
  • by phone.

Residents who wish to attend in person can do so in the Abington Township Board Room, which is located at 1176 Old York Road, in Abington, on the second floor.

For those who do not wish to or are unable to attend the meetings in person, the Commissioners offer different means of participation. Residents who wish to participate in the meeting remotely can access the meeting online by a computer, iPad, iPhone, or Android via this link. This link will enable residents to hear the meeting, see presentations, and ask questions.

There will be no video interaction capabilities, however, for those who attend online. Residents, who are unable to join online, can listen to and participate in the meeting by calling 1-929-436-2866 and entering the meeting ID number 882-1680-3878 when prompted.
