The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming road work that will impact drivers in and around Upper Dublin Township as part of a regional safety improvement project.
Starting today through Tuesday, March 31, crews will be working weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Fitzwatertown Road, where periodic lane closures with flagging will be in place between Burn Brae Drive and Thunderhead Road. The work area spans portions of both Upper Dublin and neighboring Abington Township.
The project is part of a broader initiative across the Philadelphia region aimed at installing lane departure safety improvements, which are designed to reduce serious and fatal crashes.
What residents should expect:
Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and use alternate routes when possible. As always, construction schedules may change depending on weather conditions.
Residents with regular commutes along Fitzwatertown Road should plan ahead and stay alert when traveling through the work zone.
