An Ambler resident has been charged with multiple felony counts related to unlawful sexual contact with a minor, according to police.
Deren Thach, 38, of the 200 block of Maple Street in Ambler, has been charged by the Abington Police Department after receiving a report regarding a Thach, who allegedly paid a 17-year-old for sexual acts and explicit photographs.
The incidents allegedly took place in Willow Grove. Further investigation revealed that Thach had engaged with multiple underage girls for similar activities.
A search warrant was executed at Thach's Ambler apartment, where police seized his iPhone 15 Pro. A 41-second video of a sexual nature involving a minor was discovered.
The video was recorded on Aug. 15, 2025, in Thach's residence.
He's currently being held on $100,000 cash bail.
