Officials in Upper Moreland Township are warning drivers to avoid Terwood Road, which remains closed following storm-related damage.
As of the latest update at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Terwood Road is closed between York Road and Edge Hill Road due to multiple utility poles down across the roadway.
Earlier in the day, the closure extended between York Road and Huntingdon Road after trees, wires and debris were reported blocking both directions of travel beginning around 6 a.m.
Officials say downed wires remain in the area, and PECO has not provided an estimated time for repairs.
Drivers are strongly urged to avoid the area and not attempt to move or go around barricades, as conditions remain hazardous.
This is a developing situation. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
