Emergency responders in Upper Dublin Township were kept busy late Friday night and early Saturday morning after three separate crashes required vehicle rescues.

The first incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Jennifer Drive and Limekiln Pike. According to reports, a single vehicle overturned with two occupants inside. One person was able to exit the vehicle on their own, while the second occupant was reportedly unconscious and had to be extricated by firefighters. Both individuals were transported by ambulance to an area hospital with injuries that were not immediately known. Limekiln Pike was temporarily closed while crews worked at the scene.

Just a few hours later, emergency crews were called to another crash around 1:09 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Dreshertown Road and Flick Drive. In that incident, a single vehicle overturned and came to rest on its side, trapping the driver inside. Firefighters were able to extricate the driver through the vehicle’s windshield. The extent of the driver’s injuries has not been released. Dreshertown Road was temporarily closed while responders cleared the scene.

Units from the Fort Washington Fire Company, Community Ambulance Association of Ambler, Second Alarmers Rescue Squad, and the Upper Dublin Township Police Department responded to the incidents. Police continue to investigate both crashes.

In a third incident, a single-vehicle crash occurred Saturday evening on the 400 block of Dreshertown Road, marking the second accident in the area in as many nights. The vehicle overturned onto its side around 7:53 p.m. near Caras Court and Crestview Drive. The occupant was able to exit the vehicle without assistance and was transported from the scene by ambulance. Emergency crews responded to reports of smoke, but no fire was found. Police and fire personnel closed portions of the road while crews cleared the scene.
