Emergency crews responded Monday morning to a fire in an apartment in Jenkintown, according to reports.
The incident was reported around 7:05 a.m. when a fire was reported on the 600 block of West Avenue, right above David Arnold Hair Salon. Firefighters quickly arrived on the scene to investigate.
Units from multiple local departments, including Jenkintown Fire Company, Abington Fire Company, Weldon Fire Company, Edge Hill Fire Company were dispatched to assist.
Details on the cause of the fire or any injuries have not yet been released.
Residents and passersby are advised to avoid the area while crews continue to ensure the building is safe.
