A garage fire in Lower Moreland Township was quickly brought under control early this morning thanks to a coordinated response from multiple local fire and EMS agencies.
At approximately 6:30 a.m. Monday, units from the Bryn Athyn and Huntingdon Valley stations of Fetters Mill Fire Rescue were dispatched to the 2000 block of Button Wood Lane for a reported garage fire. Mutual aid agencies were also alerted.

Responding crews arrived to find active fire inside a three-car attached garage. Firefighters worked swiftly to contain and extinguish the blaze. Officials reported that the bulk of the fire was confined to the garage, with only minor extension into the attic space above. Crews conducted thorough checks to ensure the fire had not spread further into the residence.
The immediate response from Upper Moreland Fire Department and Fetters Mill Fire Rescue played a significant role in preventing the fire from rapidly extending into the main living areas of the home.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Lower Moreland Township Fire Marshal.
