Upper Moreland Township police are investigating a retail theft incident connected to Home Depot in the Willow Grove section of the township, according to court documents.
Paul Jarzemski, 51, of Philadelphia, and Joseph Mulligan, 50, of Bristol, are facing felony charges of retail theft stemming from an incident at the store.
On Jan. 17, 2026, at approximately 1:46 p.m., officers responded to the Home Depot located at 2250 Easton Road after receiving a report of retail theft. During the investigation, police identified a Chevrolet pickup truck, which had been involved in a previous theft reported earlier in the week.
Home Depot asset protection staff reviewed surveillance footage from Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, showing a male later identified as Mulligan entering the store at 2:15 p.m. Video footage revealed Mulligan exiting the store at 2:28 p.m. with two Jeld-Wen doors, each valued at $598, without paying. He returned to the store minutes later and left again at 2:31 p.m. with two Rheem water heaters, each valued at $779, also without paying.
The four items had a total value of $2,754.00.
Surveillance footage also showed Mulligan placing the items into the pickup truck and leaving the premises. Investigators later confirmed that the truck entered Home Depot at 2:11 p.m. and left the area shortly after. At 2:45 p.m., the vehicle entered the Pennsylvania Turnpike carrying the stolen merchandise. Authorities noted that the truck’s license plate was changed. Both plates are registered to Paul Jarzemski of Philadelphia.
On Jan. 17, police observed the same Chevrolet truck in the Home Depot parking lot at approximately 1:40 p.m. The vehicle was located and stopped at 1:49 p.m. Jarzemski was driving the truck, which lacked updated emissions and inspection certification. Records showed Jarzemski was also operating the vehicle under a DUI suspension.
During the stop, officers observed Mulligan leaving the store with two Rheem water heaters and additional appliances. Witnesses confirmed Mulligan passed all points of sale without paying. The total value of the items taken during this incident was $1,580.44.
Altogether, Home Depot is believed to have been deprived of $4,334.44 in merchandise.
Jarzemski and Mulligan are facing felony charges of retail theft.
A preliminary hearing for Jarzemski and Mulligan was scheduled for Jan. 30, 2026, before Judge Thomas P. Murt, however, it was moved and needs to be rescheduled.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
