Residents of Limerick Township and surrounding communities will have the opportunity to participate in an upcoming township decision related to a proposed land exchange involving State Game Lands.
On Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., the Limerick Township Board of Supervisors (BoS) will vote on whether to send a formal letter of opposition to the Pennsylvania Game Commission regarding a proposed land exchange. The exchange would involve publicly owned land in State Game Land 234 (Linfield) and privately owned property in Limerick Township currently zoned for a hyperscale data center and owned by Limerick Town Center LLC.
The Jan. 20 vote will determine whether Limerick Township formally communicates opposition to the proposed land exchange before the state-level decision later that week. The Pennsylvania Game Commission meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at which the Commission is expected to vote on the land exchange itself.
While the Township Board’s action will not determine the final outcome of the exchange, sending a letter of opposition would place Limerick Township’s position into the official state record ahead of the Commission’s decision.
The meeting will take place at the Limerick Township Building, located in 646 W. Ridge Pike.
