Abington Township police are investigating a retail theft incident involving nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise from a sneaker and apparel store at Willow Grove Park Mall, according to police.
According to police, officers took a report on the evening of December 16, 2025, regarding a delayed retail theft at Got Em Kicks, located inside the mall at 2500 Moreland Road.
Store management reported that the first incident occurred on Dec. 15, 2025, at approximately 7 p.m., when a man later identified as Laquan Harris Bracey, 32, of Philadelphia, entered the store. Police said an employee observed the suspect remove a sweatshirt valued at $1,000 and conceal it inside a shopping bag that did not belong to the store. While the suspect continued browsing, the employee retrieved the sweatshirt from the bag and hid it behind the counter.
The following day, on Dec. 16, store management discovered a pair of sweatpants valued at $950 missing from a hanger. After reviewing surveillance footage, police said the same suspect was seen taking the sweatpants and concealing them inside his clothing when employees were not looking. The suspect then left the store, passing all points of sale without attempting to pay.
The total value of the stolen merchandise was $1,950, police said.
After reviewing surveillance footage, officers were able to identify the suspect. Police noted that they had previously spoken with Bracey on December 15 in connection with an unrelated incident at a neighboring store, and he was wearing the same clothing seen in the theft footage.
