A.J. Brown declined to talk to reporters after loss

Following what was arguably his worst game as an Eagle, there will be speculation about whether A.J. Brown can continue in Philadelphia moving forward.

Brown chose not to discuss the game or his future after the Eagles were upset 23-19 by the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, with Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia noting that the 28-year-old declined to talk with the media members present.

Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal added some additional context, saying that Brown hugged Jalen Hurts and some other teammates in the locker room before passing on speaking to reporters and leaving.

Perhaps this is a case of Brown thinking if he had nothing nice to say, he's better off not saying anything. But even if you ignore the fact that players are contractually required to speak to reporters after games, it's not a good look to not face the music after you drop three passes in a season-ending loss and also have an argument with Nick Sirianni on the sideline:

It's entirely possible that Brown will speak during locker clean out day, and it will be more beneficial to him to have had some time to cool off before saying anything publicly. In the meantime, though, there's going to be quite a bit of discussion about his future, even when his contract would leave the Eagles with $43 million in dead cap money if traded.
