A theft incident at the Willow Grove Park Mall has prompted police to seek a warrant for a local woman accused of taking another shopper’s cellphone, according to police.

According to Montgomery County police reports, an officer from the Abington Police Department was dispatched to the mall, located at 2500 Moreland Road in the Willow Grove section of Abington Township, following a complaint of theft.

The victim told authorities that she was seated in the mall’s food court when she heard someone calling her name. Upon turning, she reportedly recognized the caller as Kimberlee Mueller, 44, of Roslyn, a woman with whom she said she had prior personal issues. Concerned, the victim removed her cellphone from her pocket and began recording Mueller.

At that point, the report states, Mueller allegedly approached the victim and snatched the cellphone, saying, “You need my consent to record me.” After taking the device, Mueller reportedly walked away from the victim and refused to return it.

Witnesses indicated that Mueller exited the mall through Nordstrom Rack with the cellphone still in her possession. Police say she made no attempt to return the device before leaving the scene.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11, 2026 at 10:45 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Juanita A. Price.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
