Jack Sullivan, a 20-year-old Kutztown University student and 2021 graduate of Abington Senior High School, died by suicide in January 2023 after being targeted in an online sextortion scheme.
The perpetrator, Imoleayo Samuel Aina, 27, who was living in Nigeria and posed as a young woman on Instagram under the name “Alice Dave,” was sentenced in federal court in 2025 to six years in prison and five years of supervised release for cyberstalking, extortion, and related crimes, according to a report from The Philadelphia Inquirer.
One co-defendant, Samuel Olasunkanmi Abiodun, 25, was previously sentenced to five years for helping launder money from the scheme.
Now, a third co-defendant, Afeez Olatunji Adewale, 26, was recently extradited from Nigeria to the United States to face charges related to the sexual extortion, according to United States Attorney David Metcalf.
Adewale is charged by indictment with wire fraud and money laundering conspiracy. He appeared in federal court in Philadelphia before U.S. Magistrate Judge Lynne A. Sitarski last week.
Adewale was arrested in Nigeria on August 17, 2023, as part of a wider operation with the FBI to apprehend sexual extortionists targeting minors in the United States. He was extradited to the United States on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026.
