he Cheltenham Police Department reported that officers attempted to serve a court-issued Protection From Abuse (PFA) order on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, involving a contract employee connected to Cheltenham High School.
According to police, officers were requested to serve the order, which named the employee as the defendant. During a preliminary investigation related to the service attempt, officers discovered the individual was also the subject of an active arrest warrant for a violent felony offense stemming from the same incident that led to the issuance of the PFA.
Police responded to Cheltenham High School to determine the individual’s work status but were informed that the employee was not present at the school that day.
No further action was taken at that time.
Authorities said the Cheltenham School District was notified of all circumstances surrounding the case and implemented measures to ensure the defendant would no longer have access to district facilities moving forward.
Both the Protection From Abuse order and the arrest warrant were issued by a judge in the City of Philadelphia.
The investigation remains ongoing.
