Residents across Montgomery County have access to free, around-the-clock crisis support through the county’s Mobile Crisis services, officials announced.
Montgomery County Mobile Crisis provides immediate assistance during urgent mental health situations, as well as ongoing support to help individuals and families manage recurring crises and prevent future emergencies. Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at no cost to anyone currently in the county.
The program is operated by Access Services and offers emotional support and crisis intervention to individuals experiencing distress, as well as to their loved ones.
Support Before, During and After a Crisis
Residents who recognize early warning signs or stressors are encouraged to reach out for peer support.
Adults can call the Montgomery County Peer Support Talk Line at (855) 715-8255. The line is available seven days a week from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Youth can contact the Montgomery County Teen Talk Line at (866) 825-5856 or text (215) 703-8411. The teen line is also available daily from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
During a Crisis
Mobile Crisis counselors are available 24/7 by calling (855) 634-HOPE (4673). Trained crisis workers provide immediate telephone counseling and can arrange in-person support in a home or community setting when appropriate.
After a Crisis
The team works with individuals and families to develop strategies aimed at reducing the likelihood of future crises. This may include creating a personalized crisis plan as part of broader recovery and wellness goals.
