Residents of Whitpain and Upper Dublin townships are invited to celebrate cherry blossom season with a spring day trip to Washington, D.C., hosted jointly by Whitpain Township and Upper Dublin Township.
The trip is planned for Saturday, March 28.
The trip provides round-trip transportation to the nation’s capital, giving participants the flexibility to plan their own day while enjoying one of the most picturesque times of year in the city. Drop-off and pick-up will take place near Union Station, offering convenient access to the National Mall, Smithsonian museums, monuments, restaurants and the famed cherry blossoms.
The bus will depart from the Upper Dublin Library, 520 Virginia Drive, Fort Washington. Check-in begins at 6:15 a.m., and the bus will leave promptly at 6:30 a.m. In Washington, participants must check in at Union Station by 5:15 p.m., with departure from D.C. scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The group is expected to return to the library at approximately 9:00 p.m.
The registration fee covers transportation only, allowing attendees to explore Washington at their own pace.
Registration is required. Residents are encouraged to register early, as space may be limited.
