The Abington School District Board of School Directors approved the 2026–2027 school year calendar during its Feb. 10 meeting, setting official start dates for students across all grade levels.
According to the approved calendar, students in grades K–6 and 9 will begin the school year on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026. Students in grades 7–8 and 10–12 will report for their first day on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026.
District officials said the staggered start allows schools to support student transitions, particularly for those entering new buildings in ninth grade and kindergarten.
