A New Jersey man is facing felony charge stemming from a traffic stop in Abington Township, according to police.
On Jan. 24, 2026, officers on patrol near Meetinghouse Road and Gordon Road in the Jenkintown section of the Township observed a white Honda minivan with a malfunctioning brake light. Police also reported that the vehicle traveled through the intersection of Township Line Road and Old York Road against a steady red light.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Cory Morris, 53, of N.J. who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. During the investigation, police said they discovered multiple suspected narcotics inside the minivan, stored in two separate containers.

Police noted that the quantity and packaging of the substances were consistent with narcotics prepared for sale.
A records check also determined that Morris did not have a valid driver’s license at the time of the stop, police said.
Morris is facing a felony charge related to intent to deliver narcotics.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11, 2026 at 10:15 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Juanita A. Price.
