Abington Township Police officers recovered a stolen vehicle in the Elkins Park section on the night of Wednesday, Jan. 28.
At approximately 11:18 p.m., an officer observed a white Acura TLX with Pennsylvania registration MSH8361 traveling eastbound near the intersection of Township Line Road and New Second Street. Officers noted that the vehicle’s registration plate did not match the car, it was actually registered to a Ford, and that the car had heavily tinted windows on all sides, preventing a clear view inside.
When the officer initiated a traffic stop, the sole occupant, identified as Davina Johnson, 31, of Philadelphia, was contacted. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle’s VIN number did not match the registration and was listed as stolen by the New York City Police Department in national databases.
Authorities took appropriate measures to recover the vehicle and ensure the safety of the public. The investigation is ongoing, and police remind residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious vehicles or activity in the area.
Johnson is being charged with a felony of Receiving Stolen Property.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 3, 2026, at 11:15 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Juanita A. Price.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
