Iron Hill Brewery may be poised for a comeback, including its former location in Huntingdon Valley near Willow Grove, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.
According to the report, a federal judge has approved the transfer of Iron Hill’s trademark and intellectual property, along with several former restaurant leases, to a new entity.
This news comes a handful of months after the company filed for bankruptcy and closed nearly 20 locations late last year, including Center City, Huntingdon Valley, Hershey, Lancaster, and Wilmington. New tenants have registered businesses tied to individual locations, raising the possibility that select brewpubs could reopen under the Iron Hill name or a similar concept.
While many former locations across the region remain vacant, the approved deal could signal the reopening of the Huntingdon Valley location, located at 785 Huntingdon Pike, could soon see new life.
Jeff Crivello, the former CEO of Famous Dave’s BBQ, was originally set to buy the assets of these five Iron Hill locations, along with those of five others that he has since sold, according to the report.
Crivello recently confirmed that the assets of his five remaining Iron Hills, along with the brand’s trademark and intellectual property, had been acquired by a buyer called Right Lane.
