Police responded to a disturbance call on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, involving a man displaying erratic behavior and claiming he was being chased by a tow company in the area of the 2600 block of Huntingdon Pike in Huntingdon Valley, authorities said.

According to Lower Moreland Police, an officer was dispatched to the scene after a 911 caller reported a male who was rambling, claiming to be the president, and stating he was being pursued. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the caller, later identified as Kelvin Lee Jr., 40, of Philadelphia.

Police said Lee was crying and sweating heavily and claimed that he had recently retrieved his vehicle from a tow company, which he believed was remotely controlling the vehicle, which was a black Chevrolet Traverse.

Lee also told officers that people were “out to get him” and admitted he was carrying a firearm. When asked about its location, Lee pointed to his waistband. Police recovered a black 9mm Kel-Tec handgun from his waistband.

Further investigation revealed the firearm had been reported stolen out of Philadelphia. Police also determined that Lee was legally prohibited from possessing a firearm.

During the initial encounter, Lee was observed holding a blunt wrapper and a small plastic bag containing a leafy green, plant-like substance believed to be marijuana. The suspected marijuana and wrapper were seized by police.

Lee is now facing felony charges of Firearms Not to Be Carried Without a License.

The incident remains under investigation.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 20, 2026 at 10:45 a.m. before Judge Thomas P. Murt.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
