Area residents looking to help their fellow neighbors can donate supplies to Montgomery County’s spring clean collection drive.
The annual contribution event runs through May 30. Hosted by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, organizers requested cleaning supplies and toiletries for low income households and those in need.
Agency officials requested the following items: all purpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, brooms, dish soap, disinfectant spray and/or wipes, mops, paper towels, sponges and trash bags.
Additional toiletry requests include baby wipes, deodorant, hair care products for adults and children, laundry detergent, lotion, sap and body wash, as well as toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Participants can drop off donations to the main entrance of the DeKalb Center, across from the parking garage, at 1430 DeKalb St. An Amazon wishlist is also available for those interested and would like to contribute virtually.
