A driver is facing multiple charges, including DUI, following a hit-and-run crash Sunday morning in the Dresher section of Upper Dublin Township, according to police.
Police responded around 7:54 a.m. on March 22 to the intersection of Fitzwatertown Road and Susquehanna Road for a reported crash in progress. Upon arrival, officers found debris in the roadway and a silver Subaru Legacy with significant rear-end damage.
The driver of the Subaru told police she was making a left turn when her vehicle was struck from behind by a silver Mercedes SUV, which then fled the scene northbound on Fitzwatertown Road.
A witness followed the suspect vehicle, took photos of the damage and license plate, and returned to the scene to assist police. The vehicle was later located a short distance away at a residence on Fitzwatertown Road in Willow Grove.
Officers made contact with the driver, identified as Quentin Maxwell Williams, 26, of Willow Grove, who admitted to driving the vehicle. According to police, Williams told officers he had been driving home from Philadelphia, fell asleep at the wheel, struck another vehicle, and continued home.
Police observed signs of impairment, including the odor of alcohol, glassy eyes, and slowed speech. Field sobriety tests indicated impairment, and Williams was taken into custody.
A subsequent blood test revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.161%, more than twice the legal limit.
Williams has been charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. The investigation is ongoing.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 15, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. before Douglas H. Lavenberg.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
