Hatboro Police have identified two individuals involved in an unusual retail theft at a local Wawa, where approximately 96 bananas were taken.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on April 4 when the suspects entered the store, collected a large quantity of bananas, and left without paying. Police say the individuals then departed the area in a black Hyundai Santa Cruz.

The case quickly drew attention due to the unusually large number of bananas involved. While the motive behind the theft has not been disclosed, no injuries or additional damages were reported.

Police issued a public request for information shortly after the incident and have since confirmed that both individuals have now been identified. Officials thanked members of the community for their assistance.

Police did not identify which Wawa location was involved in the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
