Abington Township is giving away 330 native trees to residents during its Spring 2026 Tree Giveaway, scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Crestmont Park, 2595 Rubicam Avenue, Willow Grove.
The event, hosted by the Abington Shade Tree Commission, is free for township residents, and each household can take up to two trees, with at least one being a shade tree. This year’s selection includes a variety of shade trees such as

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to guarantee your tree(s). Residents must pick up their trees between 9–11 a.m. Any unclaimed trees after 11 a.m. will be distributed first-come, first-served until noon. Trees come in 5-gallon containers, 3 to 8 feet tall, and must be transported home the same day.
Participants will also receive planting and care instructions, and optional deer protection will be available. Residents can learn how to select the best tree for their property using the Arbor Day registration system.
