Police have charged three people, including a juvenile and an adult from Willow Grove, following a road rage incident that ended outside Jamison Elementary School.
Police say an 18-year-old Warrington man was riding a red Kawasaki motorcycle on York Road on Monday, Sept. 8, when he allegedly broke the side mirror of a car driven by a 60-year-old Willow Grove resident. The motorcycle driver reportedly did not stop to provide insurance information.
The incident escalated into a chase involving the Warrington man, the Willow Grove driver, and a juvenile on a white motorcycle who was recording the event. The juvenile briefly entered Jamison Elementary School property on the 2000 block of Land Road before being stopped by school staff. No students were harmed during the incident.
Police later confirmed that the motorcycle was being operated by the Warrington man’s son. The teen admitted to knowing he had broken the mirror but left the scene without stopping.
Charges filed include:
Warrington man: Misdemeanor accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle and summary criminal mischief.
Willow Grove driver: Summary citations for careless driving and disobeying a traffic control device.
Juvenile: Trespassing by a motor vehicle, operating an unregistered vehicle, and driving without a license.
