The eighth annual Reading Blues Fest runs Friday through Sunday in downtown Reading’s DoubleTree by Hilton hotel.

Headliners are Devon Allman’s Blues Summit Friday at 8; Dana Fuchs Band Saturday at 3; Duke Robillard Band Saturday at 7:30; John Prime & the Real Deal Blues Band Saturday at 9:15; Kevin Burt Sunday at 1; and the Three Kings Sunday at 3. There will be a Gospel Brunch Sunday at 11:30.

A related event, Guitar-A-Rama 2025, will take place Thursday at the WCR Center for the Arts in Reading. Presented by Dave Kline Productions, the free event celebrates guitar mastery and blues-driven performance by local and international talent. Doors open at 5, with a workshop jam beginning at 5:45. Busker Incognito & The Show and the Travellin’ Brothers are slated to perform.

Ana Gasteyer

Ana Gasteyer’s Sugar & Booze Holiday Spectacular comes to Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center Saturday at 7:30. The former “Saturday Night Live” cast member is a musician, comedian and actor whose holiday tour features songs from her album “Sugar & Booze.” The retro-inspired Christmas album combines uproarious humor with great musicianship.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Trans-Siberian Orchestra presents “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve: The Best of TSO & More” on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the PPL Center in Allentown. The show features a performance of “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve,” a rock opera about a runaway girl who turns her life around on a snowy Christmas Eve. There will also be performances of many of the group’s other hits.

Other Pennsylvania dates for the popular holiday production are two shows Saturday at the Mohegan Arena in Wilkes-Barre; two shows Sunday at the Giant Center in Hershey; and two shows Dec. 21 at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.

Reading concerts

Walker Hayes: Unplugged with special guest Shane McAnally comes to the Santander Performing Arts Center in Reading Thursday night at 6:30. Hayes landed his first big hit in 2017 with “You Broke Up with Me” and has been a popular performer ever since.

Longtime country band Alabama performs at the Santander Arena on Friday at 7. The band has been at it for more than five decades, reeling off 21 straight No. 1 singles and selling 73 million albums.

Night Ranger takes the stage at the performing arts center Saturday at 8. Known for hits such as “Sister Christian,” the band has sold more than 17 million albums worldwide.

SoulJoel’s

Aunt Mary Pat’s Mary Frickin’ Christmas Tour comes to SoulJoel’s at the Sunnybrook Ballroom near Pottstown on Friday at 7 p.m. Aunt Mary Pat came onto the scene in early 2018 through a viral video after the Philadelphia Eagles’ first Super Bowl win. Her catch phrases have become synonymous with the Philadelphia region.

Fox News and Fox Business Network personality Kennedy performs at SoulJoel’s on Saturday at 6. She first gained fame as an MTV VJ in the 1990s and joined Fox in 2012. She hosts the FBC program “Kennedy” and frequently appears as a Fox News panelist.

Christmas Village

Philadelphia’s Christmas Village opens its run for the season on Saturday. The festival is located at LOVE Park, 1500 Arch St. Hours this weekend are noon to 9 on Saturday and noon to 8 on Sunday. The festival will be open daily starting on Thanksgiving (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the holiday). Regular hours are noon to 8 Sundays through Thursdays and noon to 9 Fridays and Saturdays. The final day is Christmas Eve, when it will be open from noon to 5.

The authentic German Christmas market has more than 120 mainly local vendors offering European food, crafts, events, rides, attractions, and performances and spirits tastings.

Wine Festival

The Philly Wine Fest Fall Edition takes place Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. at Live! Casino Hotel, 900 Packer Ave., Philadelphia. The event features dozens of wine vendors, food pairings and entertainment. Sample wines and learn from winemakers and sommeliers. Expo center

Monster-Mania Con takes place Friday through Sunday at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Montgomery County. Hours are Friday from 4 to 10 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stars from a number of movies and TV shows will be there. See monstermania.net/ for details.

“Elf” on stage

Quakertown tree lighting

The Quakertown Christmas Tree Lighting Festival is set for Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. on West Broad Street in the Bucks County town. Children will be able to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, take pictures with Frosty and see the Grinch in his Jeep. Other highlights include Olde Towne Carolers, kids train rides, carriage rides, Harley Hill Alpacas, snow machine, a live Nativity, food, drinks and craft vendors. Holiday parade

The Reading Holiday Parade kicks off Saturday at 10 a.m. along Penn Street. There will be creative floats, performances and decorations brought to life by community groups, local organizations, schools and businesses.


Skynyrd tribute

The Artimus Pyle Band with Six Gun Sally performs Thursday at 8 p.m. in Bucks County’s Sellersville Theater. Pyle is the last surviving member and drummer of the classic Lynyrd Skynyrd lineup. The show is a tribute to the late vocalist Ronnie Van Zant and the rest of the original band.

Also at Sellersville, the Keystone Breakers and 400 Bears on Friday at 8; Don Jovi’s tribute to the music of Bon Jovi on Saturday at 8; and Christmas With The Rat Pack featuring a live big band Sunday at 2.
