Jenkintown Police have identified a suspect, Khary Williams, 38, of Philadelphia, connected to two separate retail thefts at the GIANT Food store, located at 93 York Road, incidents that resulted in more than $2,000 in stolen merchandise over the span of three months.

According to police, officers were first dispatched to the store, located at 93 York Road, on Aug. 1, 2025, for a delayed report of a theft that had occurred several days earlier.

A Loss Prevention Officer showed responding officers surveillance footage of a Black male entering the store around 4:15 p.m. The man was seen walking to the pharmaceutical aisle, placing high-end eye-care items and low-grade pain medication into reusable shopping bags, and then leaving the store without paying. The total loss from that incident was reported as $1,633.60.

A second delayed theft report was filed on Nov. 5, when police were again called to the GIANT for a similar incident that occurred on Oct. 20. In that case, the same individual entered the store around 2:30 p.m. and headed directly to the medical aisle. Surveillance footage showed him grabbing handfuls of Flonase, Bengay, and other over-the-counter products, loading them into reusable bags, and exiting past all points of sale. That theft resulted in a loss of $417.72.

Police say that the subject was identified through the use of facial recognition technology, along with prior contacts documented by multiple police agencies.

Charges are pending as the investigation continues.

A preliminary arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 21, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge R. Emmett Madden.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
