Upper Moreland is getting ready to welcome the holiday season in one of the township’s annual traditions — the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
Set for Saturday, Nov. 22 at 5:00 p.m., the celebration will take place at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 220 Mineral Avenue, where neighbors, families, and friends can gather to watch the ceremony.
This festive evening marks the unofficial start of the holidays in Upper Moreland. While the township hasn’t released a full program lineup, residents can expect the familiar charm that makes this event special: sparkling decorations, the big countdown to the lighting, and that sense of community that comes when everyone bundles up and comes together.
Because the event typically draws a good crowd, locals might want to arrive a bit early to find parking and a good spot near the tree. With late-November temperatures often dipping once the sun sets, it’s also a good idea to bring a warm coat, hat, and maybe even some hot cocoa to-go.
