Roberto LaRosa, 29, of the the unit block of Fitzwatertown Road in Willow Grove, is facing felony charges after police seized numerous drugs, paraphernalia and a substantial amount of cash from a residence, according to police.
Upper Dublin Township Police executed a search warrant last week at a residence on the 1600 block of Jill Road following an investigation into a burglary.
During the search, officers seized a significant amount of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and cash. Twelve one-pound bags of suspected marijuana, various forms of THC diamonds, psilocybin mushrooms, and nine THC cartridges were recovered from the upstairs bedroom, according to police. Paraphernalia including digital scales, heat sealers, empty packaging materials, and rolls of heat-seal bags were also seized.
A total of $53,649 in cash was found in a SentrySafe, organized into labeled portfolios and heat-sealed bags. Additional cash and a digital currency counter were discovered in the bedroom dresser alongside a handwritten letter signed by LaRosa. Officers also recovered evidence linking LaRosa personally to the seized items.
According to detectives, LaRosa admitted ownership of all drugs and cash. Laboratory testing confirmed the substances as marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, and Delta-9-THC.
Authorities say the quantity of drugs, packaging, paraphernalia, and large sums of money indicate the drugs were possessed with the intent to distribute. Police have requested an arrest warrant for LaRosa so he can face charges in court.
LaRosa posted bail, which was set at $50,000.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
