On Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, residents are invited to come together for a great cause at the annual Fill a Cop Car Event, hosted in partnership with Senator Maria Collett’s Office, the Hatboro Police Department, and the Upper Moreland Police Department.
The event will take place at the GIANT Food Store located at 315 N. York Road in Willow Grove, where community members are encouraged to stop by between event hours to donate non-perishable food and household items. Every contribution helps support families in need and directly benefits the Willow Grove Baptist Church Food Pantry and St. John’s Lutheran Church Food Pantry, two organizations that serve hundreds of local residents each month.
Organizers say the goal is simple: fill every police car to the brim with donations. Suggested items include canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, peanut butter, paper products, and other essentials that can help families stretch their grocery budgets through the holiday season.
Food insecurity continues to be a challenge in parts of Montgomery County, and this event offers residents an easy way to make a tangible difference. Whether it’s a single item or a carload of supplies, every contribution counts.
The Hatboro and Upper Moreland Police Departments, along with Senator Collett’s office, are encouraging everyone to participate — individuals, families, and local businesses alike.
