Abington residents will soon have another place to shop for everyday essentials and fresh food.
A new Grocery Outlet Bargain Market will open at 1441 Old York Road in the Abington Shopping Center on Thursday, Nov. 6, with doors opening to the public at 10:00 a.m.
A special ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication will take place at 10 a.m.
You can take a sneak peak at what it will offer.
"We can't wait to give each and every one of you a warm welcome, epic deals, and savings," the company wrote on social media. "Come join in on the bargain bliss on Thursday ... See you there!"
The national discount grocery chain, which has more than 400 locations across the United States, offers name-brand groceries, fresh produce, and household essentials at significantly reduced prices. Each Grocery Outlet is independently owned and operated, allowing local families to manage day-to-day operations while connecting with their communities.
The Abington store will be run by John and Jamie Niedrist and will operate under the following hours:
Monday–Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Sunday: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Located in the heart of the Abington Shopping Center, the new store adds to the mix of retail and service businesses along Old York Road and is expected to attract both local shoppers and commuters.
