Caregivers who work for Right at Home are compassionate, dedicated professionals committed to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and adults with disabilities. They provide personalized, in-home support that helps clients maintain their independence, dignity, and comfort—all while offering peace of mind to families. With a focus on empathy, reliability, and excellence, Right at Home caregivers are the heart of the organization’s mission to deliver exceptional care every day.

One of those caregivers, Tamara Gray, who works for the Jenkintown branch of the organization, has been named the 2025 Right at Home Mid-Atlantic Region Caregiver of the Year.

According to Right at Home, Gray's resilience is evident in her daily work. She meticulously cares for her client’s clothes, bed sheets, and towels, ensuring everything is beautifully cleaned and organized. Her attention to detail and conscientiousness in maintaining a clean and safe environment are unparalleled.

"A family member suggested I try Right at Home, because she knew what kind of person I was, because I really enjoy helping clients," Gray said.

"My main goal for myself was to have a career that I really like getting up and go into every day, feeling like I can make a difference in the world, or somebody, or someone else's life," Gray added.

Gray has faced numerous challenges in her client’s home, from power outages to severe weather conditions, and even then, her dedication to her client’s well-being is unwavering.

Gray's colleagues and supervisors also hold Tamara in high regard. Nereida Ascencio, a Scheduling Coordinator at Right at Home Jenkintown, praised Tamara’s dedication and loyalty to her clients, noting that Tamara is one of the best caregivers she has encountered in her 22 years of experience in the home health field.

“Tamara’s patience, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond make her an exceptional caregiver,” Nereida said.

Brittany Wright, another Scheduling Coordinator at Right at Home Jenkintown, echoed these sentiments, highlighting “Tamara’s pleasant demeanor, reliability, and commitment to keeping everyone updated with any changes.”

“Every day, Tamara improves the quality of life for those we serve, and we could not be happier to celebrate her deserving recognition as Mid-Atlantic Region Caregiver of the Year,” said Chris Campbell, owner of Right at Home Jenkintown. “Her willingness to go the extra mile for her clients has made her a valued member of Right at Home and a beloved caregiver for seniors in our community.”

Right at Home honored eight employees throughout different branches in the country. They include Shari Jones (East-Central, S.C.), Deb Whelan (West, Ariz.), Marie Carmel Appolon (Northeast, N.Y.), Miriam DeFrancesco (Southeast, Ark.), Deanna Hill (Mideast, Iowa), Bo Hodges (Southwest, Texas), and Rebecca Lindsey, (Northwest, Nev.) :
