Six people were sent to the hospital after emergency crews needed to extricate multiple people from their vehicles after a collision at the intersection of Philmont, Pine, and Tomlinson roads, according to the Huntingdon Valley Fire Company.
HVFC was called out for a vehicle accident on May 5 at 5:15 a.m. for a rescue mission after a car and a worker transport van collided at the busy intersection in Huntingdon Valley.
The injuries to the six vehicle occupants were non-life threatening injuries, according to the fire company.
No school students were involved in the transport van, according to the fire company.
HVFC was assisted by Bryn Athyn Fire Company and Fetters Mill Fire Rescue.
HVFC was assisted by Squad 19, Engine 19, Squad 19-1, Special Service 19-1, Rescue 9, Quint 35, Bryn Athyn, Cheltenham, Montco Second Alarmers, and Tri-Hampton EMS in the rescue effort.
