Cheltenham man chases female with a knife, threatens to stab her before punching her in head, according to police

A Cheltenham man is facing an aggravated assault felony charge after threatening a woman with a knife, according to police.

The Cheltenham Police Department was dispatched to the 100 block of Andrea Road in Cheltenham Township on May 6 at 8:55 p.m. after it was reported that a male, later identified as Jamaar Desmond Supplee, 42, of Cheltenham, was chasing a female with a knife, according to police. 

When police arrived on location, there was a male and a female seen arguing the middle of the street, according to police. 

The female told police that the her and Supplee got into an argument in an upstairs bedroom inside the home. According to police documents, Supplee went downstairs to retrieve a kitchen knife, and then came back upstairs and grabbed the female by the shirt and said, “I am going to stab the ___ out of you.”

The female was able to run out of the house to call 911. According to police, Supplee chased her out of the house and punched her in the head before police arrived. 

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
