Fallen tree, live wires, electrical fire reported in Cheltenham, according to reports

The incident occurred on the 7900 block of Jenkintown Road at 4:39 p.m.

An electrical fire was sparked after a tree fell on power lines on the 7900 block of Jenkintown Road in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County Dispatch reported. 

Witnesses reported that wires were sparking and arcing on Jenkintown Road, and a transformer was seen on the ground, according to reports.

There are currently live wires on Jenkintown Road, but the fire is under control, according to reports.

Emergency crews from Cheltenham Fire Company are on scene.
