Ihor Liakhovych, 24, was arrested on May 1 after he was found intoxicated inside a stranger’s home, the Lower Moreland Police Department announced.

Police responded to the 2300 block of Pine Road in Huntingdon Valley on Sunday, April 27 around 4:00 a.m. for a report of an armed burglary was in progress. A man, later identified as Liakhovych, was found sleeping on a chair near the side entry door, which was unlocked at the time, according to reports.

Liakhovych was unarmed, his clothing was stained and he “smelled heavily of alcoholic beverages,” according to police.

Police detained Liakhovych and he told officers that he had been drinking at a bar earlier in the evening and did not know how he ended up inside the home.

The resident reported to police that they arrived from home from work to find Liakhovych in their home.

Liakhovych is charged with loitering, prowling at night, and public drunkenness.
