Road repair work on Limekiln Pike, Huntingdon Pike, Susquehanna Road starts this week in Abington, Cheltenham

PennDOT construction crews will be out in numerous locations throughout Montgomery County working on repairs

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced recently that PennDOT maintenance crews will be working on more than 60 state highways this week to repair deteriorated pavement in Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties.

Our local region experiences a high volume of potholes each season due to temperatures fluctuating between freezing and mild, known as a rapid freeze-thaw cycle.

In Montgomery County, the scheduled work is planned on:

Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike), Marlborough Township.
Route 152 (Limekiln Pike), Cheltenham Township.
Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike), Abington Township.
Susquehanna Road, Abington and Upper Dublin townships.

Crews will be patching potholes until all areas are addressed. All activities are weather dependent.

U.S. 13, Falls Township.
U.S. 202 and ramps, Buckingham Township and Doylestown Borough.
Route 32 (River Road), Upper Makefield and Lower Makefield townships and Yardley and Morrisville boroughs.
Route 213 (Maple Avenue, Middletown Township.
Route 232 (Windy Bush Road), Upper Makefield Township.
Route 413, Newtown Borough and Buckingham and Wrightstown townships.
Yardley Morrisville Road/Pennsylvania Avenue, Yardley and Morrisville boroughs.
Oxford Valley Road, Bristol and Middletown townships.
Old Bristol Pike/Philadelphia Avenue, Bristol Township.
Winchester Avenue/Langhorne Yardley Road, Middletown Township and Langhorne Borough.
Hood Boulevard/Penn Valley Road, Falls Township.
Butler Avenue Ramps, Doylestown Township.
Elephant Road, Bedminster Township.
