Allen Tumlin, 31, of the 2900 block of French Street in Philadelphia, faces a felony count of retail theft relating to an incident at the Willow Grove Mall, according to police.
The Abington Police Department was contacted on Feb. 19 by Macy’s security in reference to a retail theft, in custody, according to police. When police arrived, Macy’s security said it observed a male, later identified as Tumlin, via closed circuit television in the Men’s Department on the second level of the store.
Tumlin was observed selecting the following items:
The total of the items was valued at $299.00. Tumlin was observed placing all of the items on his person, on the sales floor. Tumlin then exited the store, passing all points of sale with the unpaid merchandise, according to police.
Security stopped and detained Tumlin outside of the store. When checked, Tumlin was found to have two prior convictions for retail theft, according to police.
