Update: Police confirm one person dead in Rosemore Gardens Apartments shooting incident

A shooting incident occurred shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Thursday morning

UPDATE: The Abington Township Police Department responded to a 911 call for a domestic disturbance in the 2300 block of Rosemore Avenue in the Glenside section of Abington Township. 

Once Abington police officers entered the apartment, officers discharged their firearm, striking an adult male, according to police. The man was transported to Abington Jefferson Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.

The names of the man involved and the police involved are not being released at this time.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele announced the investigation.

Abington Township Police Department asked everyone to avoid the area if possible.
