An Elkins Park man previously convicted as a serial child predator has been arrested again for violating Megan’s Law and possessing thousands of sexually explicit images and videos of children, according to investigators and a report from NBC 10.

Kevin Bader, 36, of Elkins Park, was taken into custody on July 10, 2025. He now faces new charges of sexual abuse of children involving child pornography.

Under the terms of Megan’s Law, Bader was required to report any computers or mobile devices he used following his 2016 conviction for child pornography. Authorities say Bader failed to comply, prompting further investigation.

“Mr. Bader is just a terrible individual,” Abington Township Police Lieutenant Kevin Magee told NBC10. “He’s been arrested before in 2015 for Megan’s Law offenses and he has since reoffended. It’s a terrible situation. An ugly crime against children.”

During his recent arrest, police seized several electronic devices, including an iPhone, a tablet, and two USB drives. According to the criminal complaint, those devices contained thousands of child sexual abuse images and videos, some involving victims as young as infants. Investigators also found explicit content featuring underage girls.

“We received a tip via Snapchat,” Lt. Magee said. “We tracked back the associated email to him. It was not reported as part of his Megan’s Law administrative requirements.”

Officials have not disclosed the source of the material.

Bader is currently being held at Montgomery County Prison awaiting a preliminary hearing. As of now, court records do not list a public defender representing him.

“This individual thought he could fly under the radar and unfortunately that wasn’t the case,” Lt. Magee said. “There’s always somebody out there watching while we’re always instructing everybody to be especially vigilant with their children.”
