Nicholas John Pinardo IV, 27, of the 2300 block of Mulberry Street in Lafayette Hill, is facing a felony charge following an incident in Walmart in Willow Grove, according to police.
On July 7, around 7:33 p.m., a Walmart Loss Prevention Agent met the with Upper Moreland Police Department at the Walmart, located at 2101 Blair Mill Road, for a delayed report of theft, according to police.
A male subject, later identified as Pinardo IV, was seen exiting the store pushing a shopping cart containing one 55-inch TCL 4K television, according to police. Pinardo passed all points of sale without attempting to pay for the item. The total value of the television was $188.00 before tax.
Police followed up with an investigation in which they contacted Pinardo, in which Pinardo during a phone call admitted to taking the television and stated that he would return the item. A short time later, while the police officer remained on location, Pinardo returned the television to Walmart. He was then taken into custody without incident, according to police.
Through a criminal history check, it was revealed that Pinardo has two prior convictions of retail theft, which elevates the current offense to a Felony of the Third Degree.
