Former Eagles linebacker Bryan Braman tragically passed away Thursday, after a battle with a rare form of cancer, according to his agent Sean Stellato. He was 38.
Braman was diagnosed in February, and had undergone multiple surgeries during treatment, according to a GoFundMe page, which was set up to try and help pay for his treatment.
During his career, Braman had two separate stints with the Eagles. He spent his first three seasons in the NFL with the Houston Texans, before playing for the Eagles from 2014-2016, then late in the 2017 season. Braman was mostly a special teams player, but made contributions during the Eagles' playoff run.
He blocked a punt in the NFC Divisional Round versus the Atlanta Falcons. He then gained more notoriety by delivering a fiery locker room speech ahead of the Eagles' Super Bowl LII matchup with the New England Patriots.

"Bryan, people saw this enormous human being, but his heart was as big as his body," Stellato told KPRC 2 in Houston. "His spirit was so motivating. He was so real and genuine with everybody. That made him special."
Former teammates shared an outpouring of love on social media.
"Rest in Peace Brother. Gone far too soon." Former Texans linebacker J.J. Watt wrote.

I didn’t intend on crying this morning. Then I read the news on my teammate, Bryan Braman.
Love you Braman. You lived a hard life, and you never complained about it. A champion in life and a warrior in death.
It is forever, indeed. pic.twitter.com/43J9hHTEDf
Watt donated $10,000 to the GoFundMe, which has now raised over $80,000. Other former teammates like Emmanuel Acho, Brent Celek, Rasul Douglas and Najee Goode made contributions as well.
