The Eagles are preparing to turn the page and start a new campaign after winning Super Bowl LIX last season. However, there's one last thing that needs to happen before they can fully move on: a Super Bowl ring ceremony.
They have yet to have a ceremony where players, coaches and staff get the commemorative gift, honoring their 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in February.
The original date for the ceremony was June 6, but the celebration was pushed back because of production issues, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. Last week, Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports reported that the Eagles will get their rings on July 18, ending the long wait:
The #Eagles are getting their Super Bowl championship rings on July 18.
Most NFL veterans will report to training camp on July 22, so this date gives the Eagles an opportunity to bring everyone together from the Super Bowl victory.
Typically, Super bowl winning teams get their rings in June. When the Eagles captured their first Lombardi trophy, they were gifted them on June 18, 2018. This time, they had to be a little bit more patient, but the celebration should be well worth the wait.
