Anthony James Dickinson, 65, of Willow Grove, is facing a felony charge of retail theft stemming from an incident at Walmar, located in the Willow Grove section of Upper Moreland Township, according to police.
On June 2, police officers from the Upper Moreland Police Department were dispatched to Walmart, 2101 Blair Mill Road, for a report of theft.
Upon arrival, a police officer spoke with the Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart, who stated that a male, later identified as Dickinson, with two air conditioners units inside his cart in the checkout lane. Dickinson was then observed leaving the store with the items inside his cart, according to police.
A review of surveillance footage shows Dickinson scan a bar code in his hand, and not the bar code of the air conditioners. Dickinson allegedly scanned the bar code of two window fans, valued at $39.97 each ($79.94 total). Police found that Dickinson took the following items from the store:
The total value of the air conditioners was $632, however, Dickinson attempted to pay $79.94 from the items scanned, according to police.
On June 6, police officers were contacted again by Walmart employees for another report of theft. This time, Dickinson was observed passing all points of sale without paying for:
On June 7, officers spoke to Walmart employees, who stated that they observed Dickinson attempting to steal items on three other occasions.
On April 18, scanned a pillow valued at $5 four times, but Walmart employees observed Dickinson take the following items instead:

On April 21, Dickinson again scanned a pillow valued at $5 four times, but Walmart employees observed Dickinson take the following items instead:

Later on April 21, Dickinson was again observed in the self-checkout lane with seven bags of Year Long Black Mulch. Dickinson allegedly paid for six of the bags, but left the store without paying for the seventh bag, valued at $2.47.
The total value of items that Dickinson allegedly stole from the store was $1,208.
Dickinson allegedly has three prior retail theft convictions in Pennsylvania.
