Abington Police pull man over with 13.5 ounces of marijuana, electric scale, police say

The incident occurred on Jan. 15 in the area of Easton Road and Florey Lane

Jhebrieh Pullam, 19, of the 3000 block N. 15th St. of Philadelphia, faces a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, according to police.

The Abington Police Department initiated the stop on Jan. 15 in the area of Easton Road and Florey Lane within the township around 11 p.m., according to police. The responding officer smelled the odor of marijuana, and Pullam admitted that he had just picked up marijuana and pointed to a black backpack on the passenger’s seat, according to police.

Police searched the vehicle and found: 

  • 47 small resealable plastic bags each containing 3.5 grams of raw marijuana;
  • 1 large plastic bag containing approximately 200 grams of raw marijuana;
  • 1 medium sized plastic bag containing approximately 14.5 grams of raw marijuana;
  • 1 electronic scale with remnants of raw marijuana on it;
  • 1 pair of scissors with remnants of raw marijuana on it;
  • 1 16 oz. plastic cup with remnants of raw marijuana on it.

A search of Pullam revealed: 

  • 1 small plastic bag containing approximately 7.5 grams of raw marijuana;
  • 1 resealable bag containing two tobacco cigars;
  • 1 large wad of cash totaling $352 in denominations of $20, $10 and $1 bills.

During a conversation with the officer, Pullam admitted he intended to sell the packages of marijuana, according to police.

The total weight of the raw marijuana was approximately 13.5 ounces, police said.
